Leading marketing technology consultancy The Lumery has announced the appointment of Dr Jason Pallant as the Director of Knowledge Enablement, to expand research initiatives and strengthen The Lumery’s partnership with the education sector.

Amongst a host of other initiatives, Dr Pallant will be responsible for creating a MarTech learning and development platform, to address overwhelming technology complexity, staffing pressures, and cost blowouts associated with implementing digital programs.

“I’m thrilled to be taking on the role of Director of Knowledge Enablement at The Lumery, at a time when the MarTech industry is exploding in size and possibility. This dedicated MarTech platform is primed to help the industry reach its true potential,” said Dr Jason Pallant.

“We’ve been in discussions with some of Australia’s leading brands and technology vendors and they agree there is a gap in learning and development when it comes to MarTech. Focusing on some immediate industry hurdles, we will co-create a pilot platform and content to be made available in mid-2023.

“Looking ahead, we’ll be focused on analysing and updating the content in line with industry feedback, to remain at the forefront of knowledge-sharing and industry developments.”

The Lumery’s Co-founder and CEO, Rajan Kumar agreed that learning and skill development in MarTech is a significant challenge, with scarce options for individuals seeking to enhance capabilities and knowledge.

Key insights into the learning and development challenges in the Australian MarTech sector, will be published by The Lumery in February 2023.

“We’ve been listening to brand leaders and the resounding commentary is that the gap in learning is resulting in the inability to adequately upskill and reskill teams, which is critical in a market where talent is at a premium,” said Mr Kumar.

“From the moment I met Dr Jason Pallant, we connected on The Lumery’s purpose – to bring clarity to the complex. We’re thrilled to have someone of Jason’s expertise in this new role, the first of its type to address the critical market need to upskill MarTech talent. It’s a testament to what we’re building here at The Lumery.”

The Lumery helps Australian companies realise the potential of their technology investments and create more intimate, higher-value customer experiences. Its dedicated learning & knowledge platform will be made available to customers to uplift their team's knowledge on a wide variety of practical MarTech topics.

Dr Pallant brings more than 15 years’ experience combining academic research and practical insights to help brands solve business problems across customer experience and emerging technologies. He will commence the role with The Lumery from 9 January 2023 while continuing his position as Senior Lecturer at Swinburne University of Technology.
